For Class 10 students interested in receiving financial aid for their further studies, the Central Government sponsors the NMMS Examination. The programme was originally introduced in May 2008 for academically gifted kids from economically backward groups. The full-form of NMMS is National Merit-cum-Means Scholarship.

The application period for the NMMS Scholarship test typically begins in July and ends in December. The NMMS Scholarship has an INR 12,000, which will be deposited as INR 1000 each month. Every year, the NMMS Scholarship is given to deserving students to continue their education at any state-run institution. We will discuss the NMMS Exam details in this article.

NMMS Eligibility Requirements 2022
The NMMS test was specifically created by the Central Government to provide financial aid for Class 8 students. For students to apply for the NMMS test, the Central Government has also established a number of requirements and qualifying standards.
Below are the requirements for NMMS eligibility.
- NMMS was created with Class 8 students in mind. Therefore, the participant must be enrolled in Classe 8.
- Participants must have received at least 55 per cent on their Class 7 exam.
- The participating family’s annual income must be less than INR 1.5 lakhs.
NMMS Registration
Application materials for the NMMS 2022–23 will be available online. The application form is available to students on the SCERT’s official website for the state/UT. Each state has a different deadline for submitting the application form. Read the following points to learn about the main requirements for NMMS 2022:
- The NMMS application form 2022–23 is available online for students to download, however, it can only be submitted offline.
- Students should initially contact their teachers for information about NMMS 2022 as they can also obtain the application form from the school where they are enrolled.
- Candidates must submit a fee of Rs. 50–100, depending on the state.
The following papers should be sent to school administrators, together with the completed NMMS online application forms and certified copies in hard copy.
- Class 7 grade report
- Caste and income documentation
- Certificates of disabilities (if applicable)
- Student’s and parent’s signatures
- Documents with the institution’s chief signatory
NMMS Syllabus 2022
To begin their preparation, students can refer to their school’s curriculum or the NCERT books for grades 7 and 8. Students may also use the online NMMS from previous years’ question papers to practice their preparation to the next level.
The NMMS test 2022 format assesses a student’s aptitude for academics and mental capacity. Participants in 90 minutes must finish each section. The NMMS test, however, allows extra time for pupils with disabilities. The whole NMMS programme is centred on the student’s schoolwork.
The NMMS exam’s specifics are as follows.
- Mental Ability Test: This assessment looks at pupils’ capacity for critical thought and mental ability. There are 90 multiple-choice questions in total. The key questions are hidden figures, analogies, numerical series, categorisation, and hidden figures.
- Scholastic Aptitude Test: Based on the student’s course work, the SAT schedule includes questions in mathematics, social science, and science.
NMMS Admit Card
The NMMS test admit card for 2022 is a crucial document, and candidates are not permitted to enter the examination room without it. Students may get NMMS admission cards from the NMMS official websites for each individual state. Students can get their admit cards after logging in to the appropriate state portals with all necessary information.
NMMS 2022 Answer Key
The NMMS’s answer key can be used by students to estimate their grades. A learner can assess their skills and shortcomings with the use of the answer key. After assessing their skills and shortcomings, students can prepare well for more difficult tests in the future.
NMMS Results 2022
Students can verify their NMMS results on the state-specific NMMS website once the results are announced. The scholarship information and the status of level 2 qualifying will be announced in the NMMS results. The merit list from the NMMS test will be used to choose students for the award.
Details on NMMS Scholarship
The term ‘NMMS scholar’ refers to students who are qualified for the award. A sum of INR 12,000 or INR 1000 per month is given to NMMS scholars. Students who wish to apply for the scholarship must have a bank account to which the award will be credited.
Ideally, the student’s joint account with the State Bank of India will be used to deposit the prize, while other bank accounts are also acceptable. The State Education Department and the bank branches will work together to organise scholarship awards.
