National Standard Examination Result 2022

The National Standard Examination in Astronomy (NSEA), conducted by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT), is the first step for the International Olympiad. NSEA is conducted annually, and more than 40,000 students from over 1200 schools participate in this examination. On clearing the NSEA exam, candidates will be eligible for the next level, i.e., Indian National Olympiads (INO), for the respective subjects.

Students will be able to download the results of NSEA 2022-23 online from the official website of IAPT (https://www.iapt.org.in/). Follow the instructions below to download the scorecard:

  1. Visit the official website of IAPT – iapt.org.in.
  2. On the homepage of the official site, click on “VIEW RESULT OF NSEA-2022-23”.
  3. Enter the Roll No and DOB as mentioned in the admit card.
  4. Click on the ‘Submit’ button to access the NSEA result.
  5. NSEA Result 2022-23 will appear on the screen. Download it and take a printout for future reference.

How to Check the List of Students Shortlisted to Appear in INO 2023?

The list of students shortlisted to appear in INO-2023, which is to be held towards the end of January 2023, is published on the official website of IAPT. You can access the list by following the steps below:

  1. Visit the official website of IAPT – iapt.org.in.
  2. On the homepage of the official site, click on “FINAL RESULT OF NSEA – 2022”.
  3. The list of students shortlisted to appear in the Indian National Junior Science Olympiad (INJSO-2023) on the basis of their marks in NSEA-2022 will appear on the screen.
  4. Download it and take a printout for future reference.

What Follows After NSEA 2022-23?

NSEA is the first of five phases leading to the international olympiads. Following is what follows after the completion of NSEA:

  1. The students who clear the NSEA can participate in the Indian National Olympiad (INO) examinations. This exam will be held in January 2023 and will choose between 300-500 students.
  2. Orientation-cum-selection is the next stage. Students are prepared for the International Olympiad in theoretical and experimental skills by top educators. For these camps, about 35 students in each subject will be selected from INO on a performance basis.
  3. Pre-Departure Training (PDT) – The selected students will have two weeks of pre-departure training (PDT).
  4. International olympiads – Participation in the International Olympiad (IO) of the selected students.
