NSTSE Class 6 Syllabus 2022 - National Level Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE)

The National Level Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE) screening test is administered by the Unified Council. The NSTSE test helps students improve their general learning ability by asking questions that require a thorough understanding of the concepts. The exam results enable each student to assess if they have appropriately comprehended the subjects, and if necessary, modify their learning approach.

It’s important to remember that the NSTSE curriculum is totally based on the CBSE. Students who plan to take the NSTSE exam should familiarise themselves with the NSTSE Class 6 Syllabus. Students in ICSE, ISC, and other state board or matriculation Syllabuses can use the NSTSE Question Papers.

NSTSE Exam Pattern

Each class will have a separate question paper. All of the questions are objective, and there are no negative marks for incorrect answers.

NSTSE Syllabus Class 6

The CBSE Syllabus is the foundation for the NSTSE Syllabus 2022. The exam is taken by students in grades I to XII. The question paper is open to students from diverse educational boards.

		Physics	Motion and Measurement of distances, Electricity and circuits, Light shadows and reflections.
		Chemistry	Sorting materials into groups, Changes around us, Separation of substances, Water.
		Biology	Food & its source, Fibre to fabric, components of food, Plants, Body movements, Living organisms and their surroundings.
		Critical Thinking	This section includes a combination of skills like conscious application in real life, Tactics & Strategies in decision making, Logical & Inductive Reasoning, and higher-order thinking.

NSTSE Class 6 Marks Distribution

The NSTSE 2021 Syllabus would cover 85% of the CBSE curriculum and will be appropriate for ICSE and state board students. To pass the exam, students must understand the entire NSTSE material of their class. The marks distribution for NSTSE Class 6 is shown in the table below.
