The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI) administers the TERI Green Olympiad each year, a written exam for a competitive exam. The TERI Green Olympiad was founded to improve global conservation in order to promote sustainable development. The Green Olympiad welcomes participation from students all across the world. The goal of the Olympiad is to educate kids about environmental concerns that affect their daily lives and that need to be solved. Registration for the 2022 TERI Green Olympiad
The Green Olympiad is open to all students in grades 4 to 12 enrolled in a school approved by the Indian education board. The competitors’ environmental consciousness and analytical abilities are the foundation of the TERI Green Olympiad. Prior to the pandemic, the students’ sole opportunity to participate in the TERI Green Olympiad was through a written test. But starting in 2020, the Green Olympiad was held online.
Through the TERI Olympiad’s official website, students can submit their individual registration forms for the TERI Green Olympiad. To confirm their participation, students who apply through their individual schools can turn in their registration forms to the school coordinators. To be eligible to take the test, students must submit their registration form before the deadline.
Students may sign up for one or both of the two themes that are covered by the registration process.

Registration Fee for TERI Olympiad
The registration fee for the exam with the TERI is non-refundable. Both students registering independently and through their institutions must follow different payment methods. The student will pay the instructor in charge of each institution where they register. Students who sign up as independent participants should pay their registration fee to the TERI Foundation directly.
Depending on the topics they choose to participate in, students will be charged registration fees.
- For the Environment and Sustainable Development topic, students registered in Indian institutions must pay INR 100, while those enrolled in schools outside of India must pay USD 4.
- For the Green Skills + Environment and Sustainable Development topic, students registered in Indian schools must pay INR 150, while those enrolled in institutions outside of India must pay USD 6.
TERI Green Olympiad Syllabus for 2022
The TERI Green Olympiad syllabus is the same for all participants, although the upper secondary courses are more challenging. The TERI Green Olympiad curriculum is entirely centred on the student’s capacity for logical thinking and the environment. It encompasses biodiversity, urban landscapes, air, waste, energy, water, and sustainable development.
The TERI Green Olympiad is organised into four stages based on the students’ classes.
- Level 1 of the TERI Green Olympiad for Classes 4 and 5
- Classes 6 to 8 for TERI Green Olympiad Level 2
- Level 3 of the TERI Green Olympiad for grades 9 and 10
- Level 4 of the TERI Green Olympiad for grades 11 and 12

The Pattern of the TERI Green Olympiad Exam
A student gets one hour to complete the 50 questions, and the TERI Green Olympiad test is for 50 marks. Every level’s question paper has a different degree of difficulty.
The following is the TERI Green test format.
- For each level, there will be 50 questions with multiple choice answers.
- Students’ environmental awareness, analytical skills, and logical thinking are evaluated through questions.
- The Green Olympiad does not deduct points for incorrect answers.
Admit Card for the TERI Green Olympics 2022
The TERI Green Olympiad admission card is available for download on their official website. Each student is required to download their own copy of the TERI Green Olympiad admit card. The school coordinators might be asked to give admission cards to students who have enrolled themselves through the school. Throughout the exam, students are required to have their admission cards with them at all times.
Results of the TERI Green Olympics 2022
The TERI Olympiad’s official website will release the results. To view their Olympiad results on the official website, students must enter their TERI Green Olympiad login ID. TERI Olympiad results will be announced in February 2022. The TERI Green Olympiad result 2022 includes information such as name, class, school name, roll number/reference number, total marks earned, and qualifying status.

In contrast to other Olympiad tests, the TERI Green Olympiad is a brand-new online test that was just held.

TERI Green Olympiad Awards 2022
The only competition held by TERI to raise students’ environmental awareness is the TERI Green Olympiad. Additionally, TERI offers a variety of TERI Green Olympiad awards, such as medals for top-performing nations and certificates for each competitor. Furthermore, instructors who coordinated the TERI Green Olympiad test will receive a certificate of gratitude for their efforts.
The TERI awards diplomas, medals, and mementoes to national and state champions. A certificate will also be given to each participant depending on their unique performance.
Important Changes for Green Olympiad 2022
The Green Olympiad 2022 has highlighted several significant improvements. Participants only had access to E-certification in 2020. However, starting in 2022, students can choose from a variety of awards and prizes.
The main changes to Green Olympiad rewards are shown below.
- Opportunities for internships are presented to winners.
- Winners from each country and state receive book vouchers worth INR 1.50 lakh.
- Students achieving 100 per cent marks are rewarded with trophies and medals.
- E-certificates are also made available to coordinating instructors.
- Participants will receive unique rewards in accordance with their academic success.
