What is UPSEE?

UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) is an entrance exam for candidates seeking admission to the first year of B.Tech., B.Arch., B.Pharm., B.Des., B.Voc., BFAD, BHMCT, MBA, MCA, M.Tech., M. Arch., and M.Pharm Courses. Candidates can also pursue lateral entries for the second year of B.Tech., B.Pharm., and MCA.

UPSEE Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates that wish to appear for UPSEE
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Candidates that have cleared their class 12 in any year are eligible to apply. Students who are appearing for their class 12 examination are also eligible to apply.
    • Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in their class 12 examination.
  • Number of Attempts: Moreover, there are no limits on the number of times a candidate attempts the exam.
  • Compulsory Subjects: Candidates have to clear their qualifying exam, viz., the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with the following subject combination:

UPSEE Application Form

The UPSEE application form was released on 27 January 2020, the last date to submit the application form is 15 March 2020. The application form for all relevant courses is available on UPSEE’s official website: http://www.upsee.nic.in.

While filling up the application form, candidates are required to upload relevant documents. They have to ensure that the documents conform to the specifications set by the board.

UPSEE Application Fee

Candidates can pay the UPSEE application fee through online mode only. The fee for various categories are as follows:

UPSEE Selection Process

After the results are declared for the UPSEE Exam, students are allotted ranks on the basis of their merit. The candidates will then have to undergo counselling, where they will be allotted available seats in select colleges on the basis of their rank.

UPSEE – Important Documents to Carry on Exam Day

Ensure that the following documents are brought to the examination hall without fail:

  • Admit card
  • Original ID proof (PAN card, Aadhaar card or Voter ID)

UPSEE Admit Card – Download Procedure

  • To download UPSEE admit card, candidates must visit the official website of UPSEE.
  • On the homepage, a link to download the admit card will be provided
  • After clicking on the link, candidates will be required to enter their application number and password.
  • Click submit.
  • The admit card will then appear on the screen. Candidates must right click on the page and select the “Save as” option. Ensure that the format selected is .PDF and then click “Save.” The admit card will then be downloaded on to the candidate’s local machine.
