WBJEE Results

West Bengal Joint Entrance Test (WBJEE) is a state-level entrance test conducted for admission to undergraduate courses like Engineering & Technology, Architecture and Pharmacy in the state of West Bengal. The examination was conducted on 2 February 2020. The results were announced today at 3:00 PM soon on the official website (wbjeeb.nic.in), along with the list of toppers. Souradeep Das from Uttar Dinajpur of RKM Vidyapith in Deoghar ranks first. Meanwhile, Sreemanty Dey of  DPS Ruby Park School, the topper amongst girls, ranked third.The WBJEE 2020 Counseling is expected to be held on 12 August 2020.

The examination result of every student will be available in the form of the rank card on the official website.  Around 72,298 candidates are rank cardholders. All the candidates holding positive marks have been awarded the rank card. However, all may not be eligible for conselling, for which a cut off rank and/ or a  cut off mark will be decided by the board.

Meanwhile, if any candidates wants a duplicate rank card, they can apply to the board and pay a processing fee of RS 500 by a bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable in Kolkata

  • The candidate must visit the official website (wbjeeb.nic.in).
  • Click the result link on the page.
  • Enter the login and password to open the scorecard.
  • Download the result page for reference

Details on the WBJEE Rank card

The scorecard will include the total score and the component score in paper 1 and paper 2. Ranks will be allotted to qualified candidates. Other than the marks, the scorecard will include details like name, roll number, the application number, date of birth, photo, qualifying status and General Merit List (GMR) / Pharmacy Merit List (PMR).

WBJEE 2020 Merit List

Based on the scores obtained by the candidates, two merit lists are prepared. The general merit list (GMR) will apply for Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture courses in the colleges and universities in the state of West Bengal. This list is considered valid for pharmacy courses at Jadavpur University. The GMR list is prepared on the basis of candidates’ scores in all three subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).

The pharmacy merit list (PMR) is applicable for admission to pharmacy colleges in West Bengal except for Jadavpur University. This list is prepared on the basis of marks scored in Physics and Chemistry. The ranks are given in the descending order of marks scored. The tie-breaker rule is applied if there is a tie. Only those candidates with their names on the merit list will be able to appear for the WBJEE counselling and seat allotment process.
