CBSE 2018: Class 10 Board Exam Passing Marks Criteria Revised

There is some good news for Class 10 students who are appearing for their Board Examination which will be starting from, 5th March 2018. The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the revised passing marks criteria for students who are going to appear for Class 10 CBSE 2018 Board Exam.

The current batch of Class 10 who will be taking the board exam in 2018 with 5 main subjects (with 20 marks as internal assessment component) may be exempted from the separate pass marks criteria in the subject having the Board Exam of 80 marks and 20 marks for internal assessment. Students will now need to score an overall of 33% (both internal assessment and board exam mark taken together) in the subject to fulfill the pass marks criteria of the subject.

The same passing criteria will also be applicable in the additional subjects, given that they have 20 marks as internal assessment and 80 for their board exam. This rule will also be applicable for students with subjects under National Skills Qualifications Framework scheme for the 5 major subjects i.e. 2 languages, math, science and social science.
