The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 10 Science Exam on 16th March 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Science is one of the most crucial subjects in 10th standard board examination. According to most students, the science question paper 2018 was a little lengthy and was quite different from the previous year question.
Question Pattern
The exam pattern of Class 10 science examination was according to the guidelines of CBSE. From 2018 a different format was followed by the board. The question paper of class 10 science 2018 had a different format when compared to 2017. The question paper format was according to the latest specimen papers released by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
The Class 10 science question paper of 2018 had 2 sections namely Section A and section B which carried a total of 80 marks. The duration of the exam was 3 hours. The complete details of all the sections of CBSE class 10 science exam are given below.

Chapter-Wise Marks Weightage
Previous year 80% of the questions came from Human Eye and Light, but this year questions came from almost all chapters. In the biology section ‘How do Organisms Reproduce?’ had the maximum number of questions. The weightage of questions from the chemistry section increased from, 25% to 31% this year.

According to most students, the question paper was a little lengthy. Exam analyst says that 65+ marks are easily scalable in the class 10 science exam. The question pattern was different from the previous year question paper. The overall difficulty level of the exam was easy compared to last year.
