The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 12 Physics Examination on 7th March 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. More than 5 lakh candidates appeared for Class 12 Physics examination this year. Physics exam is considered as one of the major subjects in 12th standard. CBSE provides its students 15 minutes time to read the question paper, so the physics question paper was distributed at 10:15 a.m. and the exam began at 10:30 a.m.
Question Pattern
The question pattern of the CBSE Class 12 Physics exam was according to the guidelines of the board. The CBSE Class 12 Physics question paper consisted of 5 sections viz. Chapter-Wise Marks Weightage
In comparison with CBSE 2017 Physics Exam, the questions on optics were a little difficult. The weightage of marks was similar to previous years paper. Exam analysts say that most of the students attempted between 45 to 55 marks in the exam.

General Review
According to most students, derivations were less as compared to previous year. The questions were more logical and had reasoning questions and students needed conceptual understanding to solve the questions. Around 4 to 5 questions were similar from previous years question paper. Many students said that the numerical portion of physics exam was complicated and the paper was lengthy.
