Chemistry Worksheets Class 12 on Chapter 11 with Answers - Set 4

Alcohol, Phenol and ether are the classes of hydrocarbons. When an OH group is attached to an aliphatic hydrocarbon chain, it is referred to as alcohol. If an OH group is attached to the benzene ring, it is referred to as phenol. At the same time, if an oxygen atom joins the two alkyl groups, it is referred to as Ether. Alcohol, phenol and ether have the general formula ROH, ArOH and ROR’, respectively.
