JKPSC Eligibility

The JKPSC is the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission, which administers civil service exams for positions in the administrative, police, and accounting services of Jammu and Kashmir. On their official website, the JKPSC application is available online. Prospects must obtain the needed marks in the prelims exam to pass the next level, the Mains exam. The JKPSC test is broken into three sections:

1. Preliminary exams
2. Main exams
3. Interviews

Contenders will be selected based on their written test and interview performance. Applicants have to first attempt the written test. But, students can apply for the written exam only if they meet the JKPSC eligibility requirements.

Eligibility Criteria for JKPSC 2023

• This is a mandate for the exam that applicants have to be residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
• To be qualified for the JKPSC exam, students must have finished their graduation in any stream from a recognised university.
• Before applying for the exam, the candidate must fulfil the JKPSC KAS eligibility prerequisites. Contenders can read the eligibility measures on the commission’s official website.
• For participating in the recruitment process, prospects must have the required educational qualifications.
• Candidates must corroborate the required physical measurements to be summoned for the selection process.
• Candidates need to show their birth certificate or another supportable document to verify their age.

• The candidate must pay the fees prescribed in the Commission’s notice.

Number of Attempts for JKPSC

There is a specific number of times that a candidate can attempt the JKPSC Preliminary Exam. Let us see the number of chances you get to clear them-

• Every candidate who appears for the JKPSC CCE exam is given a total of 6 attempts.
• But, the limitation on the number of tries is not for the prospects that belong to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes.
• 9 shots are given to the applicants who belong to the RBA, Social Castes, and ALC.

Note:

• An attempt at a Preliminary Examination shall be deemed to be an attempt at the Combined Competitive Examination.
• If a candidate actually appears in any one paper in the Preliminary Examination, he/she shall be deemed to have made an attempt at the Examination.
• Notwithstanding the disqualification/cancellation of candidature, the fact of appearance of the candidate at the examination will count as an attempt.

Physical Standards Requirement for JKPSC

For Males:

• Height – 165 cm
• Chest (min) – 84 cm
• Expansion – 5 cm

For Females:

• Height – 150 cm
• Chest (min) – 79 cm
• Expansion – 5 cm
