Humans have known to live in tundra environments for thousands of years. The indigenous people of tundra regions of earth are the Aleut, Alutiiq, Inupiat, Central Yup’ik and Siberian Yupik.
Earth’s tundra regions are harsh and remote, so fewer humans have settled there than in other environments.
