Yes, Iran is a member of the SCO. Iran’s bid to become a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) was approved after almost 15 years by the bloc’s seven permanent members.
With Iran being a permanent member of the SCO, the organization got all the relevant players to address regional issues ranging from security, connectivity, and economic development.
