Yes, Science can definitely be a good optional subject for UPSC. There are plenty of examples where people have cleared UPSC exams in flying colours with Science as an optional subject, but this is very subjective. If a person is thorough in science subjects then they can definitely opt for this optional in UPSC Civil Service Exam.
