The Constitution of India
- It is the longest written constitution in the world.
- It is written in both Hindi and English and authored by BR Ambedkar and B.N.Rau.
- BR. Ambedkar is known as the Father of the Indian Constitution.
- The constitution became a legally binding document on 26th November 1949 and got signed by the members on January 24, 1950.
- “Objective Resolution” was passed by Jawaharlal Nehru on December 13, 1946, which later became the Preamble of India on January 22, 1947.
- The Indian Constitution comprises 470 articles, 25 parts,12 schedules, and 104 amendments.
