An unhealthy Air Quality Index (AQI) level is 151-200. When AQI values are above 100, air quality is unhealthy. It will have negative effects on the health of the people in areas with such an unhealthy AQI.
The AQI is a yardstick for air quality and its effects. The higher the AQI level the more severe the pollution and its health effects.
