The following are the characteristics of a tropical rainforest:

  • High annual rainfall (2000 mm)
  • Daily temperature of about 28°C. It does not drop below 20°C or exceeds 35°C.
  • Hot and humid atmosphere
  • The climate is consistent with no seasons all year round.
  • Nutrient-poor soil
  • High levels of biodiversity
