The following are the characteristics of a tropical rainforest:
- High annual rainfall (2000 mm)
- Daily temperature of about 28°C. It does not drop below 20°C or exceeds 35°C.
- Hot and humid atmosphere
- The climate is consistent with no seasons all year round.
- Nutrient-poor soil
- High levels of biodiversity
