The Railway Recruitment Board conducts the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) exam to recruit candidates into the Indian Railways.

RRB ALP Vacancies

The vacancies for the 2018-19 exam has been released. The Railway Recruitment Board is yet to release the tentative vacancies for the RRB ALP 2019-20.

Like the previous year, this year also there are chances of increment in the number of RRB vacancies for the ALP.

RRB ALP Admit Card

The RRB ALP admit card will have all the relevant information related to the exam, candidate, venue, etc. The RRB ALP exam admit card for the final stage 2018-19 exam i.e CBT 3 has been released on the official website on 10.05.2019.

In order to attend the Pyscho test, candidates need to bring a print out of the admit card to the Exam centre, failing which their admission will be disqualified.

Only those candidates can download the RRB ALP exam admit card who are shortlisted for the next exam.

RRB ALP Online Application

  1. Step 1- Go to the official website of the RRB of your region.
  2. Step 2- Click on the “apply now” option.
  3. Step 3- Fill the necessary details like father’s name, Date of Birth, Phone number, etc.
  4. Step 4- Verify your phone number and email id through an OTP.
  5. Step 5- After verification, a registration ID will be issued
  6. Step 6- Re-login to the website with your Registration ID and password
  7. Step 7- Fill the other details asked for in the required field
  8. Step 8- Upload the scanned copy of your photograph and signature of the required dimension
  9. Step 9- Make the payment or upload your payment details
  10. Step 10- Review your application once again and click submit button
  11. Step 11- The application will be displayed on the screen for downloading and taking the print out.

RRB ALP Eligibility

The RRB ALP post requires a candidate to have certain qualifications.

The qualification requirements for the RRB ALP are as follows:

Nationality

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan.
  • In case of migration to India from certain countries like Zambia, Taiwan, etc, candidates must have relevant migration document confirming the Indian Citizenship approved by the Government of India.

Age Limit

The age limit for the RRB ALP Eligibility is as follows:

  • Minimum Age- 18 years
  • Maximum Age- 30 years

Educational requirement

The basic educational requirement for the RRB ALP post is given below:

  • Candidates should have passed matriculation and completed course Act Apprenticeship Industrial Training Institute approved by NCVT or SCVT in the respective trade.
  • Those who have a diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Automobile Engineering recognized by the AICTE are also eligible for the exam.
