‘Hand in Hand’ is the name of the joint Indo-China military exercise. The aim of Hand in Hand exercise is to enhance interoperability between the two armies to counter-terrorism.
The latest Hand in Hand exercise was held in December 2019 at Meghalaya where more than 250 Chinese and Indian military personnel engaged in various joint counterterrorism training.
Likely due to the border skirmishes between India and China in 2020-2021 and the resulting deterioration in relations, the joint exercise between the two nations have been put on hold.
