The biggest issue for the Ganges River Dolphin has to be habitat destruction. Dams and barriers on rivers have damaged the habitat of Ganges river dolphins by reducing river flow and limiting their populations to a few stretches.
In addition, indiscriminate fishing is also responsible for their declining numbers.
