What steps should be taken to minimize the urban waste?

The following steps can be taken minimize urban waste:

1. Avoid the use of plastic bags for grocery or allied uses
2. Reduce, reuse and recycle as often as possible
3. Segregate plastic wastes from wet wastes.

Out of these segregation of wastes will go a long way in reducing the amount of urban wastes that is generated on a daily basis.
