World War 2 was won by the Allies: Britain, Soviet Union, China, France and the United States of America. Despite the victory, rivalries between the ideologies of Capitalism and Communism would lead to mistrust between and ultimately a rivalry between France, Britain, United States and Soviet Union and China would develop.
This would be the beginning of the Cold War.
