What was the contribution of Pandita Ramabai?

Pandita Ramabai established one of the country’s first women’s shelters and schools and went around India giving lectures on women’s emancipation.

She was the first woman to be awarded the titles of Pandita as a Sanskrit scholar and Sarasvati after being examined by the faculty of the University of Calcutta..
