What was the recommendation of the Aitchison Commission 1886 with regards to civil services?

The Aitchison Commission of 1886 made the following recommendations with regards to civil service:

• The maximum age of entry in Civil Service was fixed at 23

• Statutory Civil Services was to be abolished

• Simultaneous examinations in England and India were to be stopped,

• Certain percentage of posts in the imperial civil service should be filled by promotion of the members of provincial civil service.
