Why do we celebrate biofuel day?

Biofuel day is celebrated in order to raise awareness about the importance of non-fossil based fuels as a substitute for conventional fuels.

Biofuel day is celebrated on August 10 every year in honor of the research experiments by Sir Rudolf Diesel who ran an engine with peanut oil in the year 1893.
