Fly ash is called so because of the manner in which it is transported. It is carried from the combustion chamber by exhaust gases, as the fused material rises, it cools and solidifies into spherical glassy particles.
Studies have also found that there is a link between fly ash and serious health conditions like heart disease, cancer, respiratory diseases and stroke.
