The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations which is shortly known as CISCE is a private educational board in India which was founded in 1958. The Council is one of the oldest and most popular boards in the country. CISCE conducts the final examination for Class 10 and Class 12 students which are known as Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) respectively.

Every year, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) organizes three examinations named as, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) for Class 10 examination, the Indian School Certificate (ISC) for Class 12 examination and the Certificate in Vocational Education (CVE – Year 12).

CISCE has declared the ICSE result for Class 10 and ISC result for Class 12 students on 24th July 2021 at 3 PM. The ICSE result 2021 is made available on the official website of the council. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the result of the exams is declared late. Students who have appeared for the examinations can check their results by visiting the board’s official website, i.e. www.cisce.org or www.results.cisce.org/. They can also check their ICSE Result 2021 through SMS. Below given is the image of the ICSE/ISC result page before its announcement.

How to Check ISC and ICSE Result 2021?

Results can be checked individually in CISCE website, as well as through SMS.

Steps to be Followed for Accessing the ICSE Results 2021 on Councils Website:

  1. On the home page of the council’s website, click on the “Result 2021”.
  2. For accessing the ICSE/ISC Year 2021 Examination results, a student must select ICSE or ISC, as applicable, from the course option.
  3. For accessing the ICSE Year 2021 Examination results, a student need to enter his/her Unique ID, Index No. and CAPTCHA as shown on the screen.
  4. The instruction to view or print the results are provided on the results web page. The student may follow the same.

Steps to be Followed for Receiving the Results Through SMS:

  1. For receiving the ICSE Year 2021 Examination Results Through SMS, the students needs to type his/her Unique ID in the following way, in the “New Message” box:
    ICSE 1234567 (Seven Digit Unique ID)
  2. For receiving the ISC Year 2021 Examination Results Through SMS, the students needs to type his/her Unique ID in the following way, in the “New Message” box:
    ISC 1234567 (Seven Digit Unique ID)
  3. Send the message to the number: 09248082883
  4. The result will be displayed in the following format.

Recheck: Recheck of answer scripts is not applicable for the ICSE/ISC Year 2021 Examinations as the students have been awarded imputed marks.

How Schools can Check ICSE and ISC Results 2021

The schools can access the results by logging into the CAREERS Portal of the Council using the principal’s Login ID and password. Steps to be followed for accessing the results on the CAREERS Portal:

  1. On logging into the CAREERS Portal, click on the title “Examination System”.
  2. On the Menu Bar, click on the “ICSE” for accessing the ICSE Year 2021 Examination Results or on “ISC” for accessing the ISC Year 2021 Examination Results.
  3. From ICSE/ISC menu, click on “Reports”.
  4. Click on “Result Tabulation” to View/Print the same.

Every year lakhs of candidates appear for the ICSE and ISC examination making it one of the most competitive boards in the country. In 2018-19 academic session approximately 1.8 lakh students appeared for ICSE examination, and 81,000 students appeared for the ISC exam. The total pass percentage for ICSE was 98.51% whereas it was 96.21% for ISC examination. From last year, CISCE reduced the pass mark percentage for both ISC and ICSE exam. The pass mark percentage for ICSE exam was decreased to 33% from 35% and for ISC exam, it was reduced to 35% from 40%.
