The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations which is shortly known as CISCE is a private educational board in India which was founded in 1958. The Council is one of the oldest and most popular boards in the country. CISCE conducts the final examination for Class 10 and Class 12 students which are known as Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) respectively.
Every year, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) organizes three examinations named as, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) for Class 10 examination, the Indian School Certificate (ISC) for Class 12 examination and the Certificate in Vocational Education (CVE – Year 12).
This year ICSE examination started on 22nd February 2020 and the ISC examination on 3rd February 2020. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the exams could not conduct for all the subjects. So, CISCE has cancelled the examination for such subjects. Now, the ICSE result for class 10th and ISC result for class 12th announced today on July 10, 2020, at 3 PM. Students who have appeared for the examinations can check their results by visiting the official website of the board, i.e. cisce.org. Every year lakhs of candidates appear for the ICSE and ISC examination making it one of the most competitive boards in the country. In 2018-19 academic session approximately 1.8 lakh students appeared for ICSE examination, and 81,000 students appeared for the ISC exam. The total pass percentage for ICSE was 98.51% whereas it was 96.21% for ISC examination. From last year, CISCE reduced the pass mark percentage for both ISC and ICSE exam. The pass mark percentage for ICSE exam was decreased to 33% from 35% and for ISC exam, it was reduced to 35% from 40%
How to check ISC and ICSE result 2020 ?
Results can be checked individually in CISCE website, as well as through SMS.
In 2018-19 academic year, 86, 713 students registered for the ISC exam and 96.52% qualified for higher education up by 0.31% from last year. In ICSE 98.54 % of students qualified for higher education. In the ICSE results declared today, girls outshone boys in the performance.

Students who sat for five exams, but failed to clear one or two subjects will get another chance to appear for the exams. These compartment exams will be held from 15 July to 17 July, and the results will be announced in August.
Steps for checking ICSE and ISC results 2020 online
- Logon to the official website cisce.org or examresults.net.
- Click on the results tab.
- Enter the course code (ICSE result 2020 or ISC result 2020)
- Enter the UID (roll number) and captcha.
- Click Submit.
- Download the ICSE Class 10 results 2020 or ISC Class 12 results 2020.
- After downloading make sure to take printout for further reference.
