The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations which is shortly known as CISCE is a private educational board in India which was founded in 1958. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations is one of the oldest and most popular boards in the country. CISCE conducts the final examination for Class 10 and Class 12 students which are known as Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) respectively.

Every year, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) organizes 3 examinations named as, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) for Class 10 examination, the Indian School Certificate (ISC) for Class 12 examination and the Certificate in Vocational Education (CVE – Year 12).

This year CISCE conducted the ICSE examination from 26th February to 28th March and the ISC examination from 7th February to 2nd April. The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the ICSE result for class 10th and ISC result for class 12th on 14th May 2018 at 3:00 p.m. Students who have appeared for the examinations can check their results by visiting the official website of the board i.e. cisce.org.

Every year lakhs of candidates appear for the ICSE and ISC examination making it one of the most competitive boards in the country. Last year approximately 1.75 lakh students appeared for ICSE examination and 74,000 students appeared for the ISC exam. The total passing marks percentage for ICSE was 98.53% whereas it was 96.47% for ISC examination. From this year CISCE reduced the passing percentage for both ISC and ICSE examination. The pass marks percentage for ICSE exam will be 33% marks instead of 35% and for ISC exam it will be 35% instead of 40%.

Results can be checked individually in CISCE website, as well as through SMS.


Steps for checking ICSE and ISC results 2018 online

  • Logon to the official website cisce.org or examresults.net.
  • Click on the results tab.
  • Enter the course code (ICSE result 2018 or ISC result 2018)
  • Enter the UID (roll number) and captcha.
  • Click Submit.
  • Download the ICSE class 10 results 2018 or ISC class 12 results 2018.
  • After downloading make sure to take printout for further reference.
