6 Essentials Tips To Maintain Focus For Long Hours For JEE Preparation

If you desire to accomplish something great in life, you can do so but it requires a great amount of focus, hard work, and dedication. Most of the students easily get distracted while studying and lose track of their time.

In this article, we shall discuss how to maintain focus for long hours and study productively for JEE exams.

  • Choose Your Perfect Study Spot

It is essential to select the perfect room before starting your exam preparations as you will be spending a lot of time there studying. It’s better if the room is soundproof or a secluded corner in the house where no one can disturb or distract you. If it is not possible for you to find such a room, the next best place is the library. You can easily achieve your study targets in the library as the place is less noisy.

  • Write Down your Goals Every Day

Every night before you hit the bed, make a habit of writing down your study goals. The next day at dawn, you will be clear about the things to be done for the rest of the day. Writing down your daily study targets in a diary or study journal also helps you to track your progress.

  • Maintain a Routine

Routine is very important in life, be it studying, learning a musical instrument, or playing a sport. Routine helps you to be perfect at things. You have to ensure that you are studying at a consistent pace every day. Don’t involve yourself in a position where you don’t study for 3 days straight and spend the fourth day studying restlessly. This strategy does not work every time. Therefore, try to be consistent with your studies and complete your daily targets.

  • Get Enough Rest

Your body needs a sufficient amount of sleep in order to function actively. A human being needs at least 7-8 hours of sleep every day to maintain a healthy condition. Sleep is essential for everyone but, most people, especially students, do not follow this. You have to pay equal attention to your health along with studies. Do not overwork yourself and drain your body, it can lead to insomnia or weakness, the next day.

  • Finish up the Difficult Tasks First

Allot all the complicated chapters to study on your most active hours. It might be early in the morning or right after lunch. Do not allocate easy chapters at those hours and relax for the rest of the day. Once you complete the complicated tasks for the day, you will feel more confident and relieved to complete the rest of the job.

  • Meditation

Meditation boosts your mental performance if practised in the right way. Give yourself 15-30 minutes a day where you don’t think about anything else. In this time, try to focus on your breathing or concentrate on any one point in your mind. This practice helps you to reorganize and collect your thoughts. Try to meditate every day to enjoy its complete benefits.
