IIT Tirupati or Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati was founded in 2015. The institute started functioning in a temporary campus at Krishna Theja Educational Institutions in Chadalawada Nagar. The permanent campus is spread over 548 acres in Merlapaka village on Yerpedu-Venkatagiri highway. The permanent campus has a hostel facility for boys and girls. With the support of IIT Madras, IIT Tirupati started functioning from 2015-16. The institute offers B.Tech., M.Tech., M.Sc., Ph.D., MPP Programmes (Master of Public Policy), and MS (research).
