The permanent campus of IIT Tirupati is located in Merlapaka village on Yerpedu-Venkatagiri Highway. The campus has workshops, computer centre, hostels, laboratories, and classrooms.

Yes. After successful completion of first year engineering, students can apply for branch change. Branch change will be allotted as per the guidelines given by the college.

IIT Tirupati has set up a career development centre managed by faculties, staff and student coordinators. The career development centre aims at personality and career development and also handles campus placements and student internships. More than 75% of 2019 batch students got placements across 43 leading companies with the highest package of 22 LPA. The 2020 batch of 113 students has registered 100% summer internships.

The campus of IIT Tirupati has a well-equipped library where students can access e-journals and e-resources. Civil and mechanical engineering labs, different workshops, and Chemistry, Physics, Computer, and electrical labs are provided at the permanent campus. Internet access, projectors, screens, and audio systems are available in all classrooms. There is a virtual classroom with a seating capacity of 120, provision for video conferencing, and a 1 Gbps bandwidth connection to the National Knowledge Network (NKN). This promotes interactive teaching and learning with faculties anywhere in the world.

Merit-cum-Means scholarship is available for students whose parents’ annual income is less than Rs.4.50 lakhs. Institute SC/ST scholarship is provided for SC/ST students. Institute free studentship is also available for 10% of students. This gives exemption from payment of tuition fees every semester. Scholarships will be renewed every semester, subject to a minimum GPA of 5.0 in the previous semester.

The student council at IIT Tirupati conducts plenty of activities to encourage students’ extracurricular activities. Students contest in elections for managerial positions. They participate in events focussing on social causes. NSS activities include visiting orphanages, donating blood, etc. Many clubs have been set up, which operate solely by and for student initiatives and interests. Clubs for trekking and sports, acting, craft and art, photography and filmography, chess, music, literature, and dance host their events throughout the year. Tirutsava is a techno-cultural event of IIT Tirupati that has attracted students from other colleges all around the country. It is a platform for students to showcase their talents. Students of IIT Tirupati also get the opportunity to participate in various sports, technical, and cultural festivals conducted by other institutions across the country. IIT Tirupati has association with SPIC MACAY, which arrange programmes in schools and colleges to make students know about Indian cultural heritage.

Yes. Hostel facility is available at IIT Tirupati. Hostels are set up for boys and girls at the permanent campus with a common dining facility which can accommodate 860 students.
