Note: KVPY exam has been terminated from the year 2022. DST has decided to subsume KVPY with INSPIRE. KVPY Aptitude test will not be conducted from the year 2022 onwards. Ongoing KVPY fellows will continue to receive fellowship as per norms from DST.

KVPY Registration is an important step for students who are aspiring to appear for the scholarship exam. The registration process has to be completed before a student can apply for the exam. Generally, while filling in the KVPY application form three major steps have to be followed. The first step is the KVPY Registration. Once students have registered they can then go to the online application form page and fill in their details, choose their desired test centres as well as upload their signature and documents. The last step involves the payment of fees.

Steps to Perform the Registration Successfully

Students can go through the instructions for registering online before filling in the application form.

• Visit the official website, kvpy.iisc.ernet.in
• Scroll down and click on the “Applications” link that is given on the home page.

• On clicking the link students will be redirected to a new page where there will be an option to register. They will find all the important instructions to be followed for the process.

• Students should read and understand all the instructions carefully.
• The registration step is mandatory for first-time users.
• They will then need to click on the link that says ‘Click here for registration’ to access the KVPY registration form.

• Now, enter the required details correctly in the given fields. It will most include;
  • Name of the candidate
  • Date of Birth
  • Presently studying in class
  • Stream
  • Mobile Number
  • Email ID
• All the details should be entered.
• Enter the captcha code and tick the ‘I agree’ option.
• Now, click on the ‘Register’ button to complete the KVPY registration process.

After successful registration, students will receive their login ID and password via email and text message.

KVPY 2021-22 Exam Dates

Notice from the Exam Authority: A valid e-mail and mobile number is mandatory for the registration of your online application. The e-mail id and mobile number should be kept active till the declaration of results. KVPY will send important information with regard to your application and examination on this registered e-mail/mobile number.

In case, a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he/ she should create his/her own new email ID before filling up the online application. Please note mobile number is unique for registration, same mobile number cannot be used for registration again.
