NIT Jamshedpur Admission

NIT Jamshedpur adopts the MHRD, Government of India, guidelines for admission to all academic programmes of the Institute.

Undergraduate Courses Admission

Performance in Class 12 or its equivalent and in the qualifying examination JEE Main determines admission to the Undergraduate Programmes. The seats for Undergraduate Programmes are distributed via the Common Counselling process under the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA)/Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).

M.Tech Courses Admission

M. Tech. students are admitted on the basis of their GATE score & seat distribution according to centralised counselling.

M.Sc Courses Admission

The JAM Score from the JAM exam and Centralised Counselling is used to determine admission to M.Sc. programmes.

MCA Admission

The NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) exam, which is jointly administered by NITs, is the basis for admission to the MCA programme.

PhD Admission
