NIT Rourkela admissions to the B.Tech. programmes are made through JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination) conducted by the NTA. The counselling for this is done by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). For admission to the M.Tech. program, the minimum qualification needed is B.Tech. / MSc in a relevant subject or a valid GATE score.
