NTSE Stage-II Exam Scheduled for 10th May 2020 has been Postponed

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Stage-II has been postponed by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT). The authorities have decided to postpone the examination due to COVID-19 outbreak in India. The official notification for the same was released on 20 April 2020 on the official website of NCERT. The candidates are requested to check the official website (ncert.nic.in) for more information regarding the examination. The revised date of the examination is not yet announced. The changed date will be published on the official website after 3 May 2020 by NCERT.

NTSE is one of the most competitive national level examination conducted for Class 10 students by NCERT. The examination is conducted to identify and provide scholarship to the deserving candidates. Candidates who have qualified in the in NTSE Stage-I examination by obtaining the cutoff score are eligible to appear for NTSE Stag-II examination. If the candidates qualify in the stage-II examination the candidates will be awarded the scholarship amount throughout their academic life. The students will be given a scholarship of Rs 1250 every month for Class 11 and Class 12. During their graduation and PG level studies students get a scholarship of Rs 2000 every month.

There is no specific syllabus for NTSE. However, the questions are based on Class 9 and Class 10 syllabus. The subjects included in the examination are Mathematics, Social Science and Science.
