JKBOSE (Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education) has made changes to the question paper pattern for this upcoming Class 12 annual examination, across the state. Dr. Farooq Ahmad, the Director Academics, JKBOSE issued notification in this regard stating that the proposed latest revision to the question paper pattern will include analytical approach and objectivity among students, going by the analogy of CBSE.
The notification states that this new pattern is expected to be effective in the JKBOSE Class 12 annual examination in Kashmir of winter zones, if Jammu and Ladakh schedules the exams in October-November of this year and also for those in the summer zone of Jammu, scheduled in February-March 2021.
Meanwhile, the board also added that the examination of backlog candidates under the old question paper pattern will be conducted only for one year in two subsequent examinations. Riyaz Ahmad, the Secretary JKBOSE said that this modification was a part of the board’s initiative to bring about change in the question papers for the secondary classes. He said Covid-19 pandemic was not in any way responsible for this change. He also informed that the JKBOSE class 10 annual examination pattern could undergo change in the future.
