Drawing Made Easy – Simple Lamp Drawing for Kids

Drawing is an exercise which requires a great level of focus, dedication, and commitment to win a small amount of perfection. But, like an avenue to success, there are some simple techniques and tricks that kids can easily follow to develop skills in drawing visually attractive images. The following step-by-step instructions will help kids acquire a basic idea about geometric shapes and how to draw accurate images of lamps.

Step 1: Take clean white paper, eraser, pencil, marker, ruler, compass and colouring supplies. 

Step 2: Draw two parallel horizontal lines using a pencil and a ruler, and arrange them in such a way that there is enough gap (nearly 4-5 cm gap) between the lines. Make the lower line longer than the upper one. 

Step 3: Draw a vertical straight line in the middle of the lines by connecting them. Connect the right and left ends of the lines by drawing curved lines. Draw two left curved lines on the right side and right curved lines on the left side of the vertical line. Arrange the curved lines symmetrically to enhance the visual quality of the image. 

Step 4: Draw a semi-circle in the middle of the upper horizontal line. 

Step 5: Below the lower horizontal line, leave a small gap and draw a horizontal oval shape. 

Step 6: Draw two small vertical lines in the middle to connect the horizontal line and the oval shape.

Step 7: In the downward direction, draw a right and left curve from the sides of the oval drawn in step 8. Connect them with a straight horizontal line. 

Step 8: Leave some gaps and draw a rectangle below the curved line drawn in step 6. 

Step 9: Draw a short horizontal line in between the curve drawn in step 6 and the rectangle drawn in step 7. 

Step10: Use curves to connect the ends of the horizontal line and the curve drawn in step 6. 

Step 11: Use oblique lines to connect the ends of the horizontal line and rectangle drawn in step 7. 

Step 12: Use a black marker and sketch the outline of the lamp and fill the picture of the lamp using accurate colours.
