Drawing Made Easy – How to Draw a Volcano for Kids?

Step 1: Collect drawing equipment, such as a paper, pencil, eraser, ruler, and colouring supplies.

Step 2: Use a pencil and draw a figure almost similar to a trapezoid in the middle of the paper. Trapezoids are quadrilaterals with at least one pair of parallel sides. Use no ruler, and draw it irregularly with uneven bottoms.

Step 4: Above the volcano, draw a figure almost similar to a cloud. Use close curve lines and make the figure appear fluffy. 

Step 5: Connect the cloud-like figure drawn in step 4 and the top of the volcano using simple lines. Arrange them in such a way that it looks like lava erupting from the mountain. 

Step 6: After completing it, draw small irregular curves near the top area of the volcano to form the trajectory of the stones bursting out from the mountain. 

Step 7: Now, the outline of the picture is almost done. Next, choose a dark marker and sketch over the outline. Dark markers will help in setting an odd appearance to the picture, thus helping kids present their drawings of the volcano more attractive. 

Step 8: Choose red, orange, yellow, grey, black and brown colours to fill the picture. Choose brown to fill the mountain, grey to fill the cloud-like figure, and red, orange, and yellow to fill the lava.
