Failed in 1 or 2 subjects in HSC? Then what’s next?

If you fail in 1 or 2 subjects in HSC for Maharashtra Board then you can re-appear for the failed subject as Maharashtra board has a provision for doing so. Before the Maharashtra Board used to conduct the repeat examinations in the month of September-October and the results were declared around December. By that time most of the colleges or professional institutions were done with their admission procedures.

So that you don’t lose one academic year by failing in 1 or 2 subjects in the HSC, the MSBSHSE Board has come up with the progressive policy. The policy ensures that  you don’t lose one academic year if they clear the re-exam. Now, the students can continue their further studies without any break.

After failing in 1 or 2 subjects in HSC for MSBSHSE Board, you can qualify the examination by appearing in the supplementary examination. To appear in HSC standard supplementary examination, you must register your name for supplementary examination by paying an examination fee before the last date of the fee payment in your 12th standard school. After registering for the supplementary exam, you can collect the hall ticket from the school a week before the commencement of examination. You can appear in supplementary examination and you can qualify in the subjects you have failed.

Following are the steps to apply re-examination of HSC for Maharashtra Board:

1. Go to their official website

2. Click on the tab HSC login

3. Enter the division and school

4. After submitting the same, the application procedure will be completed.

5. The students must take a printout for further use.

The Maharashtra State HSC Board is responsible for conducting the Higher Secondary Examinations for the students who have successfully cleared their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Exam.
