Maharashtra SSC Exams Cancelled, New Date Will be Announced post 31 March 2020

Due to the havoc wreaked in lieu of the Coronavirus outbreak, there is still no clarity about the Maharashtra Board SSC Class 10 examination scheduled for 23 March 2020. Government has decided to postpone the Class 10 exam in the state.

Vindo Tawde, the Education Minister of Maharashtra had earlier claimed that the MSBSHSE SSC board exams would not be postponed, since only two exams were remaining. There were nearly 17,65,000 students due to appear for the Maharashtra Board Class 10 board exams. In the meanwhile, the Education Minister has now informed that the new dates for the exam is expected to be released by the board after 31 March 2020.

Alternatively, the State Government has already cancelled the exams for Classes 1 to 8 and the students will be promoted to the next class without taking the final exams. At the same time, the exams that were conducted so far in the state were organised without any trouble. Students were allowed to carry hand sanitizers and masks to the exam hall.

Exams for Classes 9 and 11 are expected to be conducted after 10 April 2020. Apart from the Maharashtra Board, other boards such as CBSE, ICSE and state boards including Rajasthan, Kerala, Punjab, Telangana and so on have also postponed the board exams till 31 March 2020. Most states have also announced a lockdown because of this Covid-19 virus.
