NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam applications for BDS and MBBS courses for 2016-17 has to done before 1st of March as per the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services, Government of Puducherry. The official statement of the directorate has urged the students to apply for the exam at the earliest within the mentioned date and time. The central government has amended the rules for the test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Since these modified rules would apply to the students in Puducherry Union Territory, the government passed a resolution to exempt the Union territory for five years and it was collectively accepted by the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). However, the resolution has to be approved by the central government.
The Puducherry government is doing its part in filling 50 percent of the PG dental/medical seats allotted in Deemed Universities/private medical colleges and State Quota seats(reserved). General counseling will be held for the remaining 50 per cent seats under the quota of management.
Regarding this issue, the department has urged the students in Puducherry those who have cleared the PG-NEET to register with CENTAC office for PG Admission Pondicherry Engineering College (Campus) Puducherry in the specified format provide in the site www.igmcri.com by or before 6th March.
