MBBS/BDS Seats in India through NEET

NEET is the most anticipated and coveted exam of the year where students get an opportunity to pursue their medical aspirations. All candidates aim to get into their dream colleges, but only a few manage to get through due to the restriction on seat availability in both MBBS and BDS courses.

NEET is a pen-paper test, carried out in the offline mode and is a 200-minute long test with the majority of its syllabus constituted by the class 11 & 12 syllabi. Medical seats have been increased with the inclusion of 10% reservation under the EWS category (Economically Weaker Section). This is because NEET is the single level examination for admissions to more than 1 lakh medical seats in nearly 532 medical colleges and 313 dental colleges across India (as per previous trends). With this increase in the number of seats, there are more chances now than ever for aspirants to get through NEET and hence to medical institutes in private, government, central/deemed institutes.
