Each upper limb has 30 bones. The forearm’s ulna and radius are paired bones, whereas the humerus is a single bone which makes up the upper arm. There are eight carpal bones at the base of the hand. Five bones, each known as a metacarpal bone, combine to form the palm. There are 14 bones in the fingers and thumb, each of which is a hand phalange bone.
