NEET Registration Fee Will Not Be Reconsidered For Women Candidates

As per the latest notification, women candidates will not be rendered with any deduction in the registration fees for the NEET 2020 exams. This is in accordance with a query raised in context with Right to Information(RTI). Response to the query was by the Joint Director(Admin) for NTA, Mr Binod Kumar Sahu.

In response to this query, the activists cleared that the registration fee for NEET 2020 is 1500 rupees regardless of the gender of the candidate. However, as per the RTI response, there is a slight concession for candidates falling under the general category for OBC-NCL(Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer), (Economically weaker section(EWS).

Candidates aspiring to participate in entrance exams in India for UG medical and dental courses under both Private or government medical institutes in India are liable to pay a fee of 1400 rupees and those belonging to the SC/ST/PWD/Transgender category are liable to pay a fee of 800 rupees.

NTA(National Testing Agency) conducts the NEET exams where its part is restricted to exam conduction and result declaration on the direction of Directorate General of Health Sciences, National Medical Commission for NEET and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
