Open School, NIOS Candidates Can Apply For NEET 2018

Open school and NIOS students are now eligible to apply for NEET Exam 2018. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released instructions for students from the open school who are applying for NEET 2018. According to the orders of Delhi High Court, students who were barred in the beginning from applying for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test have been permitted to fill the NEET 2018 application form by 9th March 2018.

However, the eligibility criteria is conditional to the outcome of the writ petition. Honouring the orders of Delhi High Court, CBSE has asked the students to apply for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2018. Following the same concerns faced by NIOS or open school students while filling the NEET online application form 2018, the board has released special instructions. Candidates from open school will have to submit the following details while submitting their NEET application form.

Passing Year 1 year before the passing of 12th standard
Place of Study As applicable
State where Class XI College/School is located Same as Class 12
District where Class XI College/School is located Same as Class 12

Following the Delhi High Court Orders, the Central Board of Secondary Education has permitted candidates of open school, 25 years of age for general category and 30 years for reserved category as well as for candidates with biology as an additional subject to fill the NEET online application form 2018.
