Assam Higher Secondary Education (AHSEC) has issued a notice regarding the conduct of the 2022 exams of class 11 or the HS 1st Year, which were affected due to the life-threatening Assam Floods in the state. Over 20 lakh people were affected by the floods. The board has decided to conduct the AHSEC pending exams which were supposed to be held on 18, 20 and 21 May 2022.

According to the notice, Head of the institutions had earlier informed the AHSEC that they were not able to conduct the remaining HS 1st year exams due to setting up of the flood relief camps, while other organisations said that their Institutions and its surrounding area were not affected by the flood and they were fully prepared to conduct the remaining exams.

Keeping the two scenarios in mind the Board has notified the Heads of the institutions with flood relief camps that if possible then make alternative arrangements for conduction of pending exams.

These institutions have been asked to submit a report to AHSEC with justification for their inability to conduct the exam for further necessary instructions from the AHSEC, if they are not able to conduct the examination.

Meanwhile, Institutions that are not affected by flood can conduct the examination according to the schedule which was earlier issued by the Board.
