CUET UG 2022: After the spread of various reports indicating sabotage in the conduct of the Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate, examinations were cancelled at approximately 16 test centres. The announcement was made by UGC Chairman, M. Jagadesh Kumar, on Sunday.
After the report, NTA announced that the exam had been cancelled and postponed. It has also been announced that strict actions will be taken against those who are involved in this act of sabotage.
The chairman later added that NTA had contacted all the candidates through different modes of communication. New updates on this will soon be issued on the official website. Thereafter, candidates are advised to keep a check on the official website.
Some students were sent back home without even getting a chance to enter the examination centre. The chairman mentioned in his announcement that staff should have shown more empathy towards the candidates.
The authorities have decided to deploy more teachers who are experienced in handling such situations at the centre with empathy. The Chairman showed his trust in NTA and said that NTA’s corrective measures and efforts will make the conduction of examinations smooth in the future.
Earlier due to technical glitches more than 50,000 candidates were not able to appear for the examination and due to heavy rainfall, NTA postponed the examinations in Kerala. All these hurdles came during the examinations which were scheduled to be conducted between 4th and 6th August 2022.
On Sunday, August 7, 2022, an official notification was released that these exams have now been rescheduled to be conducted between August 24 and 28, 2022.
