The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) organises the International English Olympiad for students in grades 1 to 12. The questions in this Olympiad come from the disciplines of English grammar, vocabulary, and understanding. Students must attempt any four of the four multiple-choice responses. The SOF IEO is an English language exam meant to assess students’ knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and language potential in the topic.

IEO Syllabus for Class 10
The International English Olympiad aims to improve the English fluency as well as the writing skills of students. The SOF IEO exam is a 60-minute objective-type test that consists of 35 questions for classes 1 to 4 and 50 questions for classes 5 to 12. The syllabus for the SOF International English Olympiad is based on the school curriculum.

| Section 3 | Ability to understand situation-based variations in functions, such as Agreeing, Disagreeing, Giving/accepting compliments, Pronunciation, Requesting, Seeking information, etc. |
