The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) organises the International English Olympiad for students in grades 1 to 12. The questions in this Olympiad come from the disciplines of English grammar, vocabulary, and understanding. Students must attempt any four of the four multiple-choice responses. The SOF IEO is an English language exam meant to assess students’ knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and language potential in the topic.

IEO Syllabus for Class 10

|Section 3||Ability to understand situation-based variations in functions, such as Agreeing, Disagreeing, Giving/accepting compliments, Pronunciation, Requesting, Seeking information, etc.|
|Section 4||Higher-order thinking questions include the syllabus as per 1st, 2nd and 3rd sections.|
