Frequently Asked Questions on INMO Result

Q1

Is the INMO exam challenging?

The Olympiads cover a more comprehensive range of topics than the JEE and JEE. All the problems in the INMO and other Olympiads are more challenging than those in JEE.
Q2

Who can compete in the INMO (Indian National Mathematics Olympiad)?

Before taking the INMO test, candidates must compete in their state’s or region’s Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO). Thirty students are chosen from among the 500 or more children who qualify for the INMO, and then sent to HBSCE for a month of training for the international Olympiad math competition. Six students are chosen to compete in the International Math Olympiad (IMO) at the end of the program.
Q3

What is the INMO exam format?

The Indian National Mathematical Olympiad, or INMO, is the third stage of the international mathematics olympiad. Only students who have passed all prior levels (PRMO and RMO) are eligible to take the exam, and INMO selects only 35 students from around the country to compete in the next level. The exam questions are primarily from the 11th and 12th-grade math curricula.
INMO only asks pupils to answer six questions that are complex mathematical problems. Solutions must be written on the answer sheet, which must be submitted with the rough sheet. Students will have four hours to complete the exam and will be graded on a score of 102.
