UPSEE (UPCET) 2023 Cutoff: Tie-breaker

If more than one candidate scores the same marks, the following steps are used in calculating their ranks.

Firstly, candidates having a lesser percentage of incorrect answers will be placed at higher merit.
Secondly,

B.Arch	Candidates are given preference based on the marks obtained by them in Drawing Aptitude, Mathematics & Aesthetics sensitivity section of Paper 3 respectively Next preference is given to the candidate who is older. The older candidate is given higher merit.
B.Pharm.	Candidates are given preference based on the marks obtained by them in the Biology and Chemistry sections of Paper 2, respectively Next preference is given to the age of the candidate. The older candidate is given higher merit.
B.Tech./ MCA (Integrated)/ M Tech (Integrated)	Candidates are given preference based on the marks obtained by them in the Mathematics and Physics sections of Paper 1, respectively After that, preference is given to the candidates who are older. The older candidates are given higher merit.
B.Tech.(Biotechnology)	The rank calculation is done in the same way as B.Tech./B.Pharm courses.
B Des BHMCT BFAD BFA B Voc MBA MBA (Integrated) MCA (Lateral entry)	Only the age of the candidate is considered for tie-break in these courses. Candidates with higher age are given higher merit.

Thirdly, In the merit list, the lowest application number will be placed higher in the ranking.
